Ann Arbor Summer Festival was a blast again this year, and as we promised, we made the first limited edition copies of “Veins” available only to everyone who was there. Now we’re excited to announce that “Veins” is available everywhere. We’ve put a few links at the bottom of this, but you can also just use your favorite app or streaming service.
But as always, we suggest you use our bandcamp. You’ll get a free bonus track and artwork too, and more of what you give toward the music will actually come to Barelyon so that we can keep making more music for you. Full album coming soon! Please share this single with your friends.
Just in time for summer, we’ve got some rad shows and a new single, “Veins“, that will be a great addition to your summer jam playlist! Limited edition copies, that include a bonus song, will be available at Ann Arbor Summer Festival on Sunday, June 18th. And we’ll release it everywhere online shortly after. So keep yer ears peeled! See you somewhere this week! — Barelyon
The Music & Arts Guild Showcase, Episode 28 :: Barelyon Released – Nov 04, 2016
From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the twenty-eighth episode of The Music & Arts Guild Showcase with your special guest hostess, Kate de Fuccio.
AM1700 is joining forces with The Music & Arts Guild to form a supergroup not seen since The Birthday Party and members of Einsturzende Neubauten and Magazine teamed up to form Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. Focusing on local music with weekly live, in-studio performances, the Music & Arts Guild Showcase aims to spotlight bands that are making great music in the area. James handcrafts each show by picking out only the best in local music.
In this week’s episode, Barelyon brings their soulful harmonies all the way from Detroit to the AM1700 studios. They hang out with James and chat about themselves in between ripping through some truly beautiful songs.
Aired on 03 November, 2016 Recorded live at AM1700 Radio in historic, downtown Ypsilanti, MI.
Back from Japan and catching our breath between gigs, we want to update you on the limited edition cassette. It will be shipped on the final week of June, 2016. But you need to place your order by June 17th to get your copy! Get it then or don’t get it at all. After we ship them out, we’ll move on to our several other recording projects and another digital/CD release.
Here’s the groovy artwork that Leona CW made for the limited edition cassette.
Click the link to order by June 17th. We’re only printing what is ordered.
It’s coming. May-ish or June-ish. Depending on how many of you groovy people order it. Was originally going to be released earlier this year, but Japan and a bunch of gigs has kept us busy. I’m sure you rad people understand. Anyways… It’s limited addition. It’s a cassette. Yep, we said it. A tape.
This limited edition cassette includes 10 Barelyon tracks, both studio and demo versions of songs, as well as never before released material. Also limited edition artwork (not yet shown) and liner notes. Pre-order and be the first to get your copy.
Currently in production, we will update this description, artwork, and other info as the copies are made.
There will be NO digital download of this album. Bandcamp says there will be, but all you’ll get is blank tracks. It’s our way of keeping it limited edition and on analog cassette only.
Expected ship date: In or before June 2016. (this will depend on pre-orders).
Bakemono-Chan. She’s here! But it’s that time of year, after all. We (Brion & Leona) are fans of horror. This song is our effort to create a mythical creature that turns her victims into works of art. The lyrics tell the story of a monster-girl and her desire to rid the world of its lust for money, while satisfying her lust for blood. Just in time for Halloween, so jam this tune at your party!
